Majic Realm Privacy Policy

As a general rule, we’ll collect as least personally identifying information (PII) from you as we need, but still give you the option of being social. You can give us your birthday, and potentially share it with others - maybe even get birthday gifts as a result - but that choice will be yours, as it is not operationally necessary for us to provide you with service.

Operationally necessary things:

Your real name!
Your real email address!
Access in the form of a subscription, which may link and share PII with our payment processor Stripe
Anything we require you to give us ;)

In extremely rare cases, we may require customers to undergo identity verification! In such rare occurrences, your identity may be processed by a third-party provider - you will be advised if the system asks you to confirm your real identity.

Your Billing and Payment Information is managed and stored by Stripe. We use Stripe as our billing processor and do not collect, record, or exchange your financial data.

With Stripe, we do exchange:

Your full name
Email address
Website and game ID account identifiers (for invoices and cross-referencing)
Purchase-related transactional data (such as what you bought and for how much)

For web tracking - we don’t use Google Analytics or any 3rd party provider click tracking, but we do keep logs of what you do on our system. Of course, we also use cookies.

Community Features and 3rd Parties (Discord, Google, etc.)

The Majic Realm is a social game. We encourage our players to quest together and help each other out! In that spirit we also offer a number of community resources to help share stories, work through quests and generally socialize!

We provide links to popular social media including Discord, and Facebook. For these services you can choose to register and link your Majic Realm account for a smoother login experience; in which case we will record your 3rd party user ID and link it to your Majic Realm website ID. You can unlink your account at any time from your Account -> Security settings. We also provide the ability to login and register via Google.

The Majic Realm website will display your website username, in-game character name and Discord name to other members of the game. You can opt-out if you really want to, just contact support. But we don't encourage it, and we actually added this feature to make it easier to find your new friends from in-game in our Discord forums!

In-Game Privacy

You should expect that game actions and messages are logged for administrative purposes, and in-game always be aware that someone could be listening around the corner.

Aside from that, our use of your data is pretty pedestrian and is intended to give you great service and an amazing majic experience playing our game!
